So you're thinking about applying for a staff role with DeadMC?

The DeadMC staff team is made up of the following roles:

• Helper
  • Has a good understanding of the game.
  • Can help answer questions that other players ask.
  • Is actively involved in the community.
  • Is friendly, approachable, and respects everyone.
  • Is able to communicate well with other players, helpers and staff.
  • Help run events or take initiative with community involvement.
  • Help test new features.
• Junior Moderator
  • This role is given to new staff members who are willing to help keep DeadMC a safe space.
  • They have access to moderation tools that help keep the community safe and to punish rule-breakers.
• Moderator
  • The staff member is promoted to Moderator once they are familiar with the moderation tools.
  • Moderators have access to additional tools to help with player's issues.
  • Helps make decisions on server updates, player ban appeals, and staff applications.
• Senior Moderator
  • This role is given to staff members who are knowledgeable and drive community engagement.
  • Senior Moderators are great leaders who problem solve and communicate well with other players and staff.
  • They have additional moderation tools to detect rule-breakers, to organise events, or help with player's issues.

Our staff members are all still regular players in the community, and we encourage our staff members to not see the role as a job, but as an additional tool that is available if required.

Our staff team have a private Discord channel to communicate about issues, suggestions or to just have fun chats.

We appreciate all the help we can get when it comes to keeping DeadMC a fun and safe place. We don't expect the world from you as a moderator, and you can still play the game like you would normally. We do only expect that you are friendly and respectful toward every player, and can help out when needed.

We generally look for players who are passionate, knowledgeable, friendly, respectful to others, and adhere to our community values of creating a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

What should I include in my application?

There is no specific template you need to use. We basically just want to hear about you.
For example: Why do you enjoy playing DeadMC? What is your favourite thing about Minecraft? What do you do outside of Minecraft (study, work etc.)? What are your hobbies?

The application should be semi-formal. The more info you can tell us, the more likely you'll be considered for the role. Other things we consider during the application process include: how well you communicate with other players, how knowledgeable you are with DeadMC's features, and how friendly you are
